Behringer: the name sends shudders down the backs of “high end” sound engineers all over the world, for all the wrong reasons. Still, enthusiasts can’t get enough of their cheap and feature-laden products. I for one, have owned (and still own) a few of their boxes, and whilst they may not fill your signal chain with “characterful warmth” or even any character at all, they certainly have filled a void in the world of audio equipment.

This short documentary by Audio Technology’s Chris Holder, goes behind the scenes in the Behringer factory in China. It’s an intriguing and surprising insight, not just to Behringer, but to China too. Definitely worth a look.
