Why Moan?

So, what gives me the right to add to the noise on the internet?

Well, nothing, really. It’s just that recently, a lot of the most useful information I’ve been discovering has been written not by journalists or “professional” writers, or not even necessarily by experts, but by normal people. The phenomenon of blogging is democratising the internet, and though there’s a lot of rubbish out there (and probably right here too), sometimes things do need to be documented in a public, and hopefully unbiased way. I find myself doing Google searches scouring the internet for clues about whatever I’m trying to learn, and I hope that other people doing the same thing might find this blog useful somewhere along the way.

I try my best not to just regurgitate material that’s already out there, and strive to put my own slant on things that are going on in the world of music and video technology. So this is not the place to come for news, just for the opinion of one guy.  Nor is this the most regularly updated blog in the world, because I try not to write stuff just for the sake of it.  If you have any comments, well, that’s what the comments box is for, so feel free!

Cheers,

Derek
